Rubis Bahamas Holds 10 Year Anniversary Network Celebration!
Ten years ago, Rubis, an international French energy company made its way on the islands of the Bahamas through the acquisition of Chevron. The acquisition included the rebranding of the well-known Texaco Service Stations to Rubis’ white, green and red. A French brand, once unknown to many due to the Bahamas distance to France but today, ten years later, proudly emerged as the leading fuel brand of choice for many Bahamians based on a 2022 brand market survey.
To commemorate such an achievement and Rubis’ 10 Year Anniversary, Rubis Bahamas Limited and its retailers partnered to hold an unforgettable 10 Year Anniversary network Fuel Hour celebration! The one hour $10,000 Fuel Hour giveaway, and customer and employee appreciation was held at all 22 Service Stations simultaneously on the islands of New Providence, Abaco, Eleuthera and Exuma Friday, May 20th.
Over 260 Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s) celebrated in the festivities with a branded anniversary t-shirt and cupcakes during lunch. Later in the day, during rush hour, the first forty customers who fueled up $30 or more received a $10 Fuel Voucher for the tenth anniversary at every Rubis service station. Additionally, all fuel customers during the one-hour event enjoyed free candy popcorn, cupcakes, promotional items, and a commemorative bumper sticker.
Rubis Managing Director, Raymond Samuels said “We have managed to maintain the business throughout the pandemic through the sacrifices made by our employees and despite the challenging economic environment faced by the petroleum industry. We would like to thank our customers for choosing Rubis Ultra Tec Fuels as their preferred brand and we look forward to continuing to serve you.”
“For the tenth anniversary it was only fitting, with the rising cost of fuel, to find a creative way to give back to our customers who have stood by us over the years” said Sales & Marketing Manager, Micah Knowles. The team branded all the stations with anniversary feather flags for this milestone and ensured the motoring public was aware with on-air radio interviews and a live remote for two hours from one of the most central service stations. “During the Fuel Hour 1,000 of our loyal customers across the Bahamas benefited from a total giveaway of $10,000 in fuel” continued Knowles.
